Bermondsey Artists' Group formed in 1983 and programmes two venues to provide artists with exhibition opportunities. It runs artist-led initiatives including exhibitions, an education programme and outreach work. Membership of the group is open to artists who live, work or study in the London Borough of Southwark. The group manage two venues: Cafe Gallery, Southeast London's foremost artist-led gallery, in the centre of Southward Park, established in 1984; and Dilston Grove, the former Clare College Mission Church on the Southwest corner of Southwark Park, now one of London's most important raw spaces for installation, site-specific and experimental works.
