Visual art exhibitions and events with a platform for critical writing
27 June - 8 August 2008
Colour is controversial. Shunned from our lives through the cold white minimalist period for too long, colour is now making a welcomed resurrection. A new exhibition, which is exploding with colour, is opening at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary on Thursday 26 June. The work of three exciting artists, Katie Guthrie, Martin McKenna and Sarah Tingle, will be on display in the Gallery of ARI until 8th August 2008. Graduates of Gray’s School of Art, these three artists have differing styles, but each one uses colour – or its absence – to engage the viewer. Their bold, vibrant abstracts and rich detailed studies offer a visual spectacle at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
