The web based project began in 2002 by American artists Miranda July and Harrell Fletcher and has since attracted global participation by artists, musicians and school groups. The site offers a choice of 68 assignments which are a quirky array of musical, film, audio, drawing and sculpture based tasks and participants are asked to complete assignments by following simple but specific instructions. The Middlesbrough based presentation of works in response to this web site has attracted submissions from curators from New Orleans, illustrators from Paris as well as community and schools groups from the local area.For more info email miaowformap@googlemail.com or lauren@maparts.co.uk.
